BLUE

Hanin Soliman

I always hated the sea but you made me love it

I always hated the sand but you made me love it

I always hated dancing but you made me love it

Now my heart dances alone and you made me hate it

I always knew I just never knew when,

footprints on the sand would be carried away by the waves

I've been waiting for the water to calm down to throw me in your arms again and again

But never, ever thought that the sea could have graves

Your hands caress me like the abstract wind

Have you ever been concrete?

And oh I see the sun shining but I must be blind

All I visualize is your smile against my cheeks

Are you farther than the stars or are you one of them?

I hope fall will come soon so I can make my final wish

And oh I must be crazy If I need a star-of-bethlehem

Let the moon meet the stars at least, again

You made everyone rain

and everywhere I went I saw you somehow

Please tell me what I have to do now

Now that you're not here, now that you disappeard

As I raise my eyes, you're there right?

I will find you among all those stars with a pure wit

Time passes slowly now that came the starry night

Still, the moon is beautiful, isn't it?

I'm lost in the sky

Lost in your last not-said goodbye

Lost in your lie

That's where april lies
